During the Holiday season last year, this obviously Christian sign went up at Utica's Fire Station #4 on Shepherd Place and months later, fire chief Brooks got a letter from an attorney Chief Brooks responded that he was well within his rights to put up his sign and displayed it again for 2014 which of course drew the repeated ire of the lone complaining Utica resident and the FFRF who represents them. This past Wednesday a second plea was sent straight to Mayor Palmieri to get the sign removed.

According to New Hartford police, Heyward allegedly entered the stock room of the store on Oct. 23 and took three cell phones valued at more than $1,000. The cell phones were tracked to a local pawn shop, where Heyward allegedly sold them. Officials were able to recover one phone.

A Utica man was arrested on an A-1 felony charge Wednesday after a search warrant was served on a home on Prospect Street. Torrell J.
